My Superstition of X Ray Vision

     If I were to pick a secondary power next to flying, it would have to be the fascinating X-ray vision. X-ray vision is the ability to see through objects and spot enemies before they spot you. When you are being invaded by burglars, you can find where they are, then annihilate by counter-attacking. It is very effective when breaching enemy defenses as well. In the line of war, you can find members of the other team in an instant with its power to see people beyond doors, boxes, or even buildings. Visions can only find objects in front of yourself, while the term X-ray means to examine. Put those words together and you get a vision that can examine objects as if they were in front of you.
     Imagine that right now you are in the middle of a home invasion. All you prized possessions and memories are in a brown duffel bag held by a burglar. You are wondering how you should go through this sudden attack. Out of desperation, you cling you eyes together in a specifc motion to find out you turned you X-ray vision on. Although there was a risk of blindness if worn for a certain amount of time, you took a chance. Immediately, you find the assailant that invaded and damaged other houses on the block. It was time to put your 5 years of military school combat training into action. When the criminal mastermind isn't looking, you have an open shot at saving your helpless family. You know he may have a weapon or other illegal items, but you didn't care. Lunging forward, you aim for that weapon. In a split second you pop it out of his hands, then execute your attack. It's all over.
     X-ray vision is not something you are born with. It is a tool scientists use in their laboratories, when performing experiments. One experiment was probing an untouched, 35 year old egg. In 1999 scientists were able to have researchers probe the egg by using a X-ray scanner. It was used to penetrate dense objects, make the X-ray into slices, then put the pieces together in a data analysis. The scanner is a precise tool that you could see the actual details as microns. (1 millionth of a meter)
     This type of vision is an interesting ability to have. It can narrow down an object to precise details, and could actually save your life. Next to flying, X-ray vision should be one of your all-time powers you want. Visions that are X-ray already sounds like it is something you would want. X-ray vision is an amazing power to receive, but is hard to receive.
